The Viking Way
Hello everyone,
People who are quite interested in my work might want to know that I have just recently done a 86mile walk around Lincolnshire. The walk is called ‘The Viking Way’ and is a 150miles lone. I decided to split the walk in half as I felt I needed more time to see the surroundings, than just walk past it!
So far I have completed the part from the Humber Bridge down to Lincoln City. On the way I passed places like Caistor, Tealsby, Donnington on Bain, Horncastle and Woodhall Spa. The Wolds had great views and I could see for tens of miles in all directions.
On my journey I tried to capture my experience by sketching and note-taking on the way. I found this tool to be useful in gathering information from nature. The quick sketches I did helped me capture the landscape and the more I did, the better I got at understanding the compositional layout of the land.
Hope you like some of the work and it would be great to hear some responses.
